During the CineLink Industry Days at the Sarajevo Film Festival, two panels focused on fair remuneration for filmmakers. The first panel, "The Long Road to Remuneration," compared collective management organizations from Poland, Slovenia, North Macedonia, and Bosnia. Poland scored best: ZAPA distributes approximately €60 million annually. North Macedonia and Bosnia are struggling with suspended or never-started payments. The conclusion was clear: voluntary systems fail, while legally enshrined collective management works. The second panel, "AI: Threat, Tool or Both?", had a more concerning tone. Sonja Prosenc wondered if a human still reads their script. Jana Vozarova argued that AI models have been fed authors' work without permission or payment.
