Melk, the short animated film by Filip Anthonissen, has been selected for TIFF (September 10-20). The film previously had its world premiere in Locarno. The North American premiere will follow in Toronto as part of the Strange Cuts program. The film is set in a 19th-century village and explores destructive family ties. Anthonissen wrote and directed the film himself. Animal Tank is producing it. Coward by Lukas Dhont and Le Faux Soir by Michaël R. Roskam have also been selected for TIFF, both as Special Presentations. All three films received support from the VAF/Filmfonds.
