Movistar Plus is increasing its investment in Spanish fiction with the goal of producing 26 series per year within three years, doubling the number of Originals from eight to sixteen titles. The growth rests on three pillars: original productions, rights acquisition, and co-productions, with collaborative models that previously played a limited role now taking center stage. Scheduled for 2027 are Ardora by Jorge Coira, Iruña 97 based on an idea by Natxo López, and Todo lo necesario by Marcel Barrena and Alberto Marini, among others. Internationally, the platform is collaborating with ARTE France on Matar a un oso and producing Patagonia, directed by Rodrigo Susarte and starring Itziar Ituño.
